How It All Started
In 2023, our founder Dana was a claims adjuster watching drivers sign policies they didn’t understand — then get blindsided at claim time by exclusions nobody had explained to them. So she started writing the explanations herself.
She built Road Cover Guide as the site she wished she could hand every new policyholder: coverage types in plain English, the discounts that actually exist, and step-by-step claims advice — checked against real policies and real state rules.
Today we’re a small team based in Columbus, Ohio, and we’ve researched 30+ insurance topics — helping drivers skip the jargon and make coverage decisions they actually understand.
